- I am an ex-London professional violinist: I am passionate about the violin - and enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and expertise with other budding violinists.

- Violin (specialism) Piano keyboard Viola
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Dip RCM and ARCM from the Royal College of Music and an ALCM from the London College of Music.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I am an Ex-professional London Orchestral violin player with 15 years experience playing with some of the best orchestras in the country including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
I also have experience as a professional pianist and accompanist, regularly playing solo piano (classical and jazz) in a number of London hotels and restaurants as well as accompanying professionals in chamber concerts and auditions.
On the teaching front, I have 25 years teaching experience - teaching both privately, in schools (both public and state), music centres and adult education. I have taught individual, group lessons, chamber groups, instrumental sections, and string orchestras - both as a tutor and conductor. I have taught all ages from 4 up to 70 - and all levels from beginner up to advanced and college/university entrance level. - How much do you charge?
- My fees are £30 per hour and £15 for 30 minutes.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach from home in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Students often travel from surrounding areas including Milton Keynes. Dunstable, Luton, Aylesbury, Bedford, Woburn, Berkhamstead and Tring.
- When are you available?
- I teach daytimes and early evenings from Monday- Friday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach from age 7 upwards to 70 - and beyond! I teach all levels from beginners, intermediate to advanced. I specialise in intermediate-advanced violinists - and adult learners - including beginners.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained at the Royal College of Music. Before, during and after my training at the Royal College I trained with some of the finest international violinists including Hugh Maguire, Raymond Cohen, Rodney Friend, Erich Greunberg, Emmanuel Hurwitz and Tessa Khambatta.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- My current students include children/young people and beginner and improver adults learning violin, piano and popular/jazz piano.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I believe everyone can learn to play an instrument: with patient, encouraging, supportive, non-judgemental teaching combined with an understanding of the 'psychology' of learning, everyone can gain satisfaction from learning an instrument and experience the joy of music for themselves.
