Short personal Biography

Graduated in Classics (BA), and experienced teacher of Italian language and Classics subjects and languages.

Domenico Gioffré is a Music student at the Royal College of Music, where he studies organ with David Graham, piano with Kathron Sturrock, improvisation with Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin.

Born in Messina, Sicily, in 1992, he started his musical training under the guidance of Ft. Giovanni Lombardo, a pupil of Theo’s Flury at the P.I.M.S. (Rome), as well as reading classics at the National University of Messina.

He is currently Organ Scholar at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street, Mayfair, London.

Domenico has been Organ Scholar at All Saints’s Church, Fulham; Titular Organist of the Lutherkirke in Messina.

He is kindly sponsored by a RCM Private Sponsorship; the ‘Nicholas Danby Trust’; the Lutheran Church in Sicily (C.E.L.I., Sizilien); the Italian Cultural Institute ‘Il Circolo’ of London.

He has recently won the 2nd prize at the National Universities ‘E. Montale’ Poetry and Translation Competition, Rome, July 2012.
