Bespoke Tuition – £25/hour
Year-round, we offer 1:1 bespoke tuition, available within our centre in Ashington or via Skype. This session will be highly differentiated, and taught by a qualified teacher.
– Teaching by a qualified and experienced teacher.

– Suitable for children aged 5- 11.
Group Tuition – £10/hour
We offer small group tuition on weekday evenings. The groups include no more than 8 children per group, and is taught by a qualified teacher. Your child will enjoy an individualised learning experience within a small group setting.
Our group tuition allows children to:
- Enhance social skills and interactions with children of a similar ability.
- Reinforce knowledge and ideas through discussion and explanation.
- Develop communication skills.
- Tackle problems through sharing ideas and knowledge transfer.
- Develop new approaches to resolving problems.
- Develop confidence, voice, and perspective.
We are currently offering group sessions in:
– Year 6 Booster (Grammar and Maths): Monday 5-6pm – Year 6 only
– Creative Writing: Tuesday 4-5pm – KS2 (Years 2-6)
– Disney English: Wednesday 5-6pm – Suitable for ages 6-10

Jennifer Wood
MA BA(Hons)
Jennifer has experience as a classroom primary teacher in state and independent schools, and vast experiences as a 1:1 tutor and international homeschool teacher. Alongside this, she is Founder and Director of a small charity providing education to vulnerable children in Kenya.
Jennifer's specialism is 1:1 tuition, for all subjects at primary and up to GCSE English. Jennifer is also available to provide common entrance support for the 11+, and has previously supported children in schools including Reading Grammar School and Winchester College.

We are situation within the YMCA in Ashington. Please enter through the entrance to the YMCA, and we are up the stairs opposite reception, on the right. We are in our own self-contained centre.

All of our staff have enhanced DBS checks.
Your 1:1 and small-group tuition will be planned and delivered by a qualified teacher.
At the end of every session, all children will receive a short worksheet or activity to complete at home to help consolidate the new knowledge. We'll also send parents a short report at the end of every session, detailing the objective and your child's progress.
