Practising is a special time with your instrument. Treat it with respect and aim to enjoy it as this is part of the learning, improving and developing of your technique.

Here are my tips on how to enjoy and get the most out of your practice:

- Prepare well. Think about what you are about to do and what your goal is.

- Plan your time and start by warming up the fingers and breathing.

- Ensure the body and mind are ready and you are in a good calm space to focus your attention on your practice.

- Stand up straight and relax to alleviate any tension which might arise in the body.

- Keep a positive attitude and appreciate that some days you will sound better than others. So just go with it and observe.

- Practice, practice, practice to progress further!

Good luck and have fun!!
