Personal Message
Hello. I am a very experienced Drama teacher, Director and Actress who has worked in schools for the last 17 years. I have worked mostly in Independent Schools where I have been a support teacher for literary skills and a full time drama teacher.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
English up to 11+ Drama, Verse and Prose, Mime and Acting for Lamda all levels
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am 65, so long ago, I went to Monash University and studied Economics which I did not pursue as I then did an Acting course at Mountview and RADA. After this I entered the work force and worked as an Actress and Director for 16 years. When I had children I worked as a SEN assistant and did a course in Dyslexia and assisting educationally challenged children; I found myself teaching more and more Drama so I completed the LAMDA teaching course (LSDE) which enables me to tach up to A level Drama.
I have now worked in the same school for 13 years but it is time to move on and I have set up my own studio where I record Audiobooks and tutor children in Drama.
What kind of experience do you have?
I worked as an Actress and Director for 16 years. When I had children I worked as a SEN assistant and did a course in Dyslexia and assisting educationally challenged children and worked in 2 schools for 8 years and was efficient and successful in this area; I found myself teaching more and more Drama so I completed the LAMDA teaching course (LSDE) which enables me to teach up to A level Drama.
I have now worked in the same school for 13 years and been very successful in growing the Drama department. I have tutored children in 11+ English for 8 years and have been very successful in guiding them through the exam process.
