About Abi
- What kind of experience do you have?
Having previously been a performing artist represented by Sylvia Young and A&J Management, I worked for show producers QDOS, appeared in several TV and film productions for the BBC, Westcounty TV and German film company FFP before launching my first theatre school classes and offering private drama tuition in Norfolk in 2009. Alongside teaching I also enjoy being creatively involved in production as a choreographer and have recently worked with Tony Peers Ltd, Mark Two Productions, BOS Musical Theatre Group, Lindum Light Opera Company Teele Killing Media among others,

As an experienced tutor offering study through the LAMDA framework, I am passionate about nurturing the development of my students. I find the exploration of syllabus alongside free creative drama work to be highly beneficial for my young learners.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Within the LAMDA framework students are able to study: Speaking Verse and Prose, Acting, Musical Theatre, Reading for Performance and Devised Performance.
The ABD syllabus available to study: Ballet, Tap, Modern and Speech and Drama.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
My full time training began at 'Stonelands School of Ballet and Theatre Arts' and included 8 years classical associate tuition with 'The Royal' and 'Birmingham Royal Ballet'. I achieved my Associate Diploma with Trinity College London in 2004 and studied LAMDA and Guildhall examinations to Performers Certificate/Diploma level at 'The Rayleigh School of Speech and Drama' before later being coached by Guildhall/LAMDA speech and drama examiners Margaret Bailey and Philip Thrupp. I studied Music and Performance Production at Dartington College of Arts, Devon. I recently became an Associate Teacher of ABD and am now registered under full school status with BDQT.
- How much do you charge?
I offer classes for £20 per hour, travel fees are negotiable on distance.
- Where do you teach?
Classes are available at my private registered LAMDA centre in Boston. I also teach private students at St Hughs School, Woodhall Spa and am on the teaching faculty for two Boston based theatre academies as a dance tutor/choreographer as well as guest teaching in schools in Bourne and Lincoln.
- When are you available?
Classes are available from 4pm at Boston based centre. School visits can be arranged during the school day.
