I teach children and adults, beginners to advanced and specialise in ABRSM exam preparation. I use a range of exciting and engaging teaching materials and put an emphasis on developing aural skills, performing, reading music and having fun!

What kind of experience do you have?
I am an experienced violin teacher and freelance violinist and perform with orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Halle and English National Ballet.

I have extensive experience in one to one violin teaching and am skilled in preparing students for Associated Board Exams, teaching beginners, organising concerts and teaching a variety of repertoire. I have taught violin in primary schools and also privately to advanced students.

I have worked as a violin teacher for Wigan Music Service and West Wickham Music Tuition and have also taught for London Music Masters, Pembroke Academy of Music, Ashmount Primary School and Musica'll Music School. I have also been a string quartet tutor at ConCorda, a leading Chamber Music course in Ireland for ages 14-21.

Where do you teach?
I mainly teach from my home in central Moseley, very conveniently located for parking and close to cafes. I am able to travel to pupils' homes but my prices may vary.

Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Thelma Handy and in Prague with Pavel Fischer. I recently completed a post graduate diploma in orchestral performance with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

I have also studied chamber music at the Netherlands String Quartet Academy and Basel Hochschule as 2nd violinist of the Evropska String Quartet.

I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher with a wide array of musical experience and believe in the importance of providing clear and fun ways to practice, ensuring technical development, and improving all aspects of musicianship.
