I'm a LAMDA BA graduated actor and I provide one-on-one monologue coaching for actors applying to Drama School. I also provide either one-on-one or workshop classes for students taking their LAMDA Examinations from entry level to grade 8.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I focus mainly on LAMDA examinations and Drama School auditions; picking the right pieces to suit you, direction on your speeches with exercises from a range of practitioners, voice, interview preparation, general advice and any specific needs. I also teach English at varying levels from early stages to A Level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I’m a recent graduate from LAMDA and whilst there studied a wide range of disciplines including; Improvisation, Movement, Classical Text, Modern Plays, Acting for Camera, Historical Dance, Alexander Technique, Stage Combat, Audition Technique and Clown. These disciplines were taught through a range of practitioner theories including Stanislavsky, Boal, Yat and Brecht. My extensive training has equipped me with the skills to provide intensive, varied and colourful acting training for anyone applying to Drama School.
What kind of experience do you have?
As well as training at LAMDA, I also attended The BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology where I set up and ran a small theatre company; writing, directing and producing small-scale fringe work at theatres such as The Cockpit and The Brighton Fringes' Upstairs at Three and Ten. Other relevant experience includes; interning for The Royal Court Theatres' ‘The Audience’ by Tim Couch, interning for various productions at The Edinburgh Fringe for Tangram Theatre Company including F**ked and Almost ten,
working as a PA to Alice De Sousa at the Greenwich Playhouse and a two week work experience placement with Look Left Look Right Theatre Company, for their show ‘The Caravan’ at The Royal Court.
