Personal Message
I am a dedicated, well-qualified and friendly Maths/Physics tutor. I genuinely enjoy teaching and am passionate about passing on my excitement for these amazing subjects!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. I am also well-qualified to help with preparation for Oxbridge admissions tests for Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics and Engineering.
Tell me about your qualifications.
At school I gained 10 GCSEs (all A*), A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemisty (all A), and a Physics AEA (Distinction). I received a deferred offer to study Engineering at the University of Cambridge but following my gap year I decided that Engineering was not the right subject for me and that I wanted to study Physics instead. I changed my Cambridge application to Physical Natural Sciences, which meant completing the entrance exams and interviews for Physical Natural Sciences. I therefore have the unusual experience of successfully negotiating the Cambridge undergraduate admissions process twice!

At Cambridge, I completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Physical Natural Sciences, obtaining a high First Class every year. I ended up specialising in Theoretical Physics, and was ranked third in my year of 120 people. I then proceeded to Imperial College London, where I completed a second master's degree and stayed for my PhD in quantum information theory.
What kind of experience do you have?
In addition to experience offering one-to-one private tuition in A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, I currently teach part time at Birkbeck, University of London, where I am Assistant Lecturer and Demonstrator for the Mathematics and Physics Certificate of Higher Education (similar to A-Level standard). For the last three years I have also taught undergraduate and master's students at Imperial College. Over the course of my PhD I delivered more than 100 hours of tutorials on Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism and Statistical Physics.
How much do you charge?
£60 for A-Level/IB, £75 for degree level. Discounts are available for block bookings, and I offer a first lesson half price to see how we get on!
Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel anywhere in and around central London to wherever is convenient for you.
When are you available?
Weekends, weekdays, and some evenings (variable, but usually I'm free on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Anything from A-Level to degree and adult learners.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
