Personal Message
I have been playing violin since a young age and enjoy teaching violin and seeing students progress and achieve their goals. I always encourage students to do their best and to enjoy making music.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach violin to children and adults of all levels, from beginners to advanced players.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University where I received my Bachelor of Music in Performance in 2008. I also have an AMus.A (Associate of Music, Australia) Diploma, from the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) which I received in 2003.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching violin professionally for 10 years to individuals and groups, both children and adults. As well as private teaching I also teach in a number of schools around Oxford. I am a founding member of an established chamber group performing across London and England. I have also performed with the London Phoenix, Oxford Proms Orchestra and Queensland Pops Orchestras.
How much do you charge?
I charge £28 an hour.
Where do you teach?
I have a dedicated teaching room at my home in Risinghurst.
When are you available?
Weekdays - afternoons and evenings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced students.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for ABRSM examinations, Trinity examinations, school concerts and auditions.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have an up-to-date DBS check.
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with Alan Smith, Concert Master of The Queensland Orchestra and privately in London with renowned pedagogue Simon Fischer.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I teach a number of students who range from complete beginners to advance players. I teach both children and adults and I am currently preparing students for ABRSM examinations and upcoming school concerts.
