I am a dedicated and highly skilled cello teacher with over 30 years experience who enjoys teaching people of all ages and abilities, from beginners through to diploma level.

What kind of experience do you have?
I teach privately at home and in schools. I have worked at the Camden saturday morning music centre, and have taught on the 'Pro Corda Chamber Music Courses' for children. I am the cello coach for the Chiltern Youth Chamber Orchestra, also the cello coach for 'Bass Clef Courses' for adult cellists and basses. I have adjudicated for many youth music festivals.
How much do you charge?
I charge £36 for an hour
£18 for half an hour
I offer a free consultation lesson to see if the student is happy.
travelling to peoples houses is a possibility.
Where do you teach?
I like to teach at home, schools, youth orchestras and music courses. In and around west london including Ealing and Hanwell .
When are you available?
I am flexible. Whenever possible!
Which ages and levels do you teach?
4/5 through to 80
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare my pupils for ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall exam boards and diploma exams.
I also prepare my pupils for music college entrance auditions, youth orchestra auditions and preparations for concerts - both solo and chamber music.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied with David Strange, William Pleeth and Jacqueline Du Pre.
I studied chamber music with the Beaux Arts Trio, Peter Pears and Rostropovitch, Early Music with Trevor Pinnock and Antony Pleeth
Tell me about some of your current students.
I have 25 pupils at 3 schools. I also take the string group at one of the schools.
I have 20 private pupils who regularly take exams - they have regularly attained distinctions at diploma and grade 8 levels as well as all other grades.
My pupils have obtained scholarships to the Royal College of Music, the Purcell School and Harrow and Eton schools.
