Personal Message
As a London based professional cellist, it is extremely rewarding to share with others the knowledge I have gained through years of studying this instrument. I enjoy teaching both committed players as well as those who play cello as a hobby.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Cello: Beginner to Advanced

Music Theory: Beginner to Grade 5
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently in my 1st year of a full time Master of Arts course in cello performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance having graduated from the Conservatoire with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2016.
I have an LTCL teaching diploma with distinction which I studied for alongside my undergraduate studies.

A Level: A in Music, A in History and A in Economics
GCSE’s: 5 x A*, 5 x A

Grade 8 Cello Distinction
Grade 5 Music Theory Distinction
Grade 5 Piano Merit
What kind of experience do you have?
I teach privately one-to-one lesssons and have had experience in taking cello sectionals for orchestras in South Wales and Hackney Youth Music Service. I have been involved in the Southbank Centre's FUNharmonics workshop days where I have introduced the cello to children between the ages of 18 months and 10 years. In October 2017 I was a tutor for Cello Folk! at Cecil Sharp House in London organised by the London Cello Society.
How much do you charge?
I charge £20 for half an hour, £25 for 45 minutes, and £30 per hour. Travel costs will only be charged if it is a long distance.
Where do you teach?
I mainly travel to pupil's houses currently but please do contact me if this is not a possibility and we can discuss other options.
When are you available?
I am available most weekday evenings and anytime on weekends. Please get in touch to discuss lesson times.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any age. I am comfortable teaching any level.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I like to motivate my students and am happy to organise ABRSM or Trinity exams should the pupil wish to take them when the suitable level has been attained. It is worth discussing what the student's ambitions are before commencing lessons. However, exams are not for everyone and therefore I am happy to teach those who would rather not take exams. Equal development can take place either way!
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM).
Where and with whom did you train?
I am currently studying with Naomi Butterworth at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach pupils ranging from age 9 to adult.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Please do not hesitate in contacting me if you are interested in lessons. I strive to understand my pupil's needs when learning as no one person is the same as the next. I am therefore flexible in my teaching and aim to create an enjoyable atmosphere in which my pupils can learn.
