About Charlotte
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for 9 years now and have a wealth of experience in teaching ages 6 - 50! Some of my younger students have gained places at Junior Conservatoires in London and in the NCO (National Children's Orchestra). I am also the clarinet teacher at Junior Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. I like to use Kodaly teaching methods for my younger students and teach both aurally and with notation for all of my students.
I have a very positive approach to my teaching but I can also have high expectations for students I feel that enjoy being pushed to achieve. I also perform with a wide variety of musical groups including UK orchestras, my own creative project "Perhaps Contraption" and many small chamber groups and bands in London. I also have world-wide touring experience as a session musician with various pop artists.

I trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire with Fiona Cross and Michael Whight (clarinet) and Melanie Henry and Mick Foster (saxophone).

I'm a fully experienced performer and educator.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Clarinet and Saxophone. I am classically trained so can teach from beginner to grade 8 and beyond. I perform a wide range of styles on my instrument including classical, jazz, folk, rock, pop and klezmer so I'm happy to teach a variety of musical styles.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a First Class BMus (Hons) degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
- How much do you charge?
Depending on how far I may have to travel to teach, I may ask for additional costs.
- Where do you teach?
Suffolk, I live in Melton, Woodbridge so I'm interested in taking on new students in the surrounding area.
- When are you available?
Monday - Sunday: Various times, please contact me and I'll try my best to accommodate your schedule.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Beginner - Post Grade 8 / ages 7+ (including adults)!
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall - I have experience of preparing students for grade 1-8 and diplomas of both examination boards.
