I am a professionally trained clarinettist. I have had 12-year teaching experience mainly helping pupils for their exams and competitions. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your tuition requirements and needs.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I completed my Master Degree in Clarinet Performance with distinction at Royal College of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?
As a tutor, I taught the clarinet and music theory privately. I also gave coaching to ensembles as well as in sectional rehearsals in the local schools helping students to prepare their examinations and competitions since 2004.

As a performer, I was the clarinettist at the Young Virtuosi Festival 2012 and have been the clarinettist at the Pacific Trio since 2010. I regularly gives solo and chamber recitals acorss the UK. I also worked as a freelancer at some of the professional orchestras in Hong Kong and Macau like Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Macau Orchestra since 2007.
How much do you charge?
I charge £60 for 1.5 hours, £45 for an hour
Where do you teach?
I can teach at my home. I live in Hanwell (W7). I am willing to travel to you if required.
When are you available?
Very flexible. I can teach both weekdays and weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach the clarinet, recorder and saxophone for all ages and all levels. For the music theory, I can teach up to grade 8 for everyone.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
No at the moment as I work independently but I would be more than happy to become certified with the first opportunity.
Where and with whom did you train?
I trained with Janet Hilton, Timothy Lines at Royal College of Music, London and Andrew Simon, John Schertle, Michael Campbell at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. I also had private lessons with and played in the masterclasses by Andrew Marriner, Michael Collins, Michael Whight, Steven Barta, Romain Guyot, Michel Lethiec.
Tell me about some of your current students.
One of my current pupils has won the 1st prize at Woodwind solo as well as the outstanding medals in both categories of Woodwind solo under age of 13 and Grade 6-7 at the Woodley Festival of Music & Arts 2014. He has also got the music scholarship for the entry of Eton College.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Learning a musical instrument will sharpen your concentration, enhance your coordination. It can also refine your time management and organizational skills.
