Personal Message
I am a professionally trained accompanist, working with musicians of all levels ranging from grade 1 up to diploma, recital and competition work. In addition to accompaniment work, I have been teaching piano and theory for over 30 years.

Tell me about your qualifications.
GRNCM(Upper Division) Graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester with piano accompaniment as main subject.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have accompanied for all levels ranging from pre-grade 1 students up to professional performers such as opera singers from the Metropolitan Opera House, New York. I have been working in Hong Kong for the past 20 years and am re locating to the UK.

In Hong Kong, I have worked with students at the Academy of Performing Arts, members of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and their students. Many of my piano and theory students have come from the main international schools in Hong Kong and I am used to working with students from a wide range of cultures.
How much do you charge?
My basic fees centres around £30/hour but there are variations, details of which can be found on my website.
Where do you teach?
In the Trowbridge area and within an hour's travelling distance at the home of the student. I can also teach at my place in Trowbridge. Nearby places such as Bath, Bradford on Avon are especially convenient for me and depending on the circumstances, Bristol is possible.
When are you available?
Most days of the week over the course of the year. Sometimes, due to performance commitments, there will be some occasions when I need to travel but usually know well in advance.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
6+ up to adult. All levels from absolute beginners up to diploma level piano. Theory up to grade 8.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM and other equivalent exams and diplomas.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
In the process of applying for a DBS check.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Incorporated Society of Musicians.
