Personal Message
I am an experienced actor, theatre maker and educator, with over 10 years experience teaching young children, teenagers and adults in voice, improvisation, acting technique (stage and screen), audition technique and public speaking.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I specialise in audition technique and voice coaching and assist with school drama assessments, drama school auditions and auditions for stage and screen. I also teach both LAMDA and Trinity Guildhall curriculums.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied at The Actors Workshop in Australia, where upon graduating, I was invited to stay on in a teaching capacity in the areas of Voice and Phonetics. I relocated to London where I completed a Masters Degree in Ensemble Theatre at Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance where I was the recipient of the Rose Bruford International Scholarship. I also hold the ATCL speech and drama teaching qualification from Trinity Guildhall, being awarded a First and the Maggie Lovejoy Award.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught across a variety of settings. These include higher education; primary and high schools; school holiday workshops; corporate workshops and private tuition. I pride myself in my ability to adapt to continually changing environments and enjoy watching performers of all ages and ability grow and learn. I spent several years as head of Voice at The Actors Workshop in Australia, and currently have students undertaking A-Levels and drama school auditions. In addition to my teaching experience and qualifications, I was Artistic Director of heartBeast Theatre, and I have worked as both an actor and director.
How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour, and am happy to travel to most areas within Greater London, but some areas may incur an additional travel fee.
Where do you teach?
My teaching location is flexible. I can travel to your home or you can come to me. I am also available on Skype depending on the material. I am situated in southeast London but am willing to travel. I currently have students from Finchley down to Sidcup.
When are you available?
