I have worked with students across a broad range of academic disciplines, helping them to develop as independent learners who can succeed at higher education level.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I help students develop academic skills including planning and structuring essays, writing in a formal academic style, developing effective proofreading strategies, taking good quality notes in lectures, working on individual spelling programme and learning how to reference.

Masters in Online and Distance Education (Open University).
Certificate in Adult Dyslexia Support, South Bank University.
BA Hons English Language and Literature.
What kind of experience do you have?
Experienced specialist dyslexia tutor, currently working at a university in East of England. I’ve also worked for the Open University as a distance learning tutor for over 10 years. I also have experience of working with undergraduate students with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, including Asperger's Syndrome.
How much do you charge?
£25 - £30, depending on subject and level.
Where do you teach?
Based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Also covering Colchester one day per week.
When are you available?
Available daytimes (Monday, Thursday and Friday) and some evenings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
16 years upwards.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Functional Skills English.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
DBS Certificate.

Online tutoring available via Skype.

I am an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy and an Associate member of the Dyslexia Guild. I have institutional membership of ADSHE.

Tell me about some of your current students.
Currently supporting undergraduate students at University of Suffolk, Ipswich campus. Working with students studying a variety of subjects including paramedic science, graphic design and social work.
