Hello, my name is Ed. I read Classics at St. John's College, Cambridge. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I was an actor for three years. I now work as an academic tutor. Do get in contact!

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching Latin, Ancient Greek and English for nine years. I have taught students at CE, scholarship, OCR Latin GCSE, WJEC Latin GCSE, OCR Latin A level, OCR Ancient Greek A level, Ancient Greek and Latin Pre U level.

I have experience teaching with a lot of text books including Cambridge Latin Course, Ecce Romani, So You Really Want to Learn Latin, Greek to GCSE, Greek Beyond GCSE, Essential Latin to GCSE, and North and Hillard Prose.

I have taught many (many!) set texts including Virgil Aeneid Books 2, 4, 6 and 8 (apparently the exam boards like even numbers!) Ovid Metamorphoses 3 (I retract my last statement...!), Tacitus Annals, Caesar Pro Lege Manilia, Catullus selected poems, Pliny selected letters, Apuleius Sagae Thessalae, Homer Iliad, Homer Odyssey, Euripides Ion, Plato Protagoras, Plato Symposium, Sophocles Oedipus Rex, Herodotus Histories, and Aristotle Physics.
How much do you charge?
I charge £50 an hour and now only do two hour sessions for £100. I apologise if this is inconvenient and thought worth a forewarn!
Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel to you or indeed meet at a centrally convenient spot such as the Barbican Centre and the British Library.
When are you available?
I am available weekday evenings and Saturdays. Sundays are also possible, though less so.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all levels.
