Tell me about your qualifications.
Cert Ed Middle Years of Schooling main subject English Language and Linguistics. Associate of London College of Music, for Speech. A Levels French, History, English.
What kind of experience do you have?
Qualified as a teacher 1974. Worked in various Primary, Middle and Secondary settings. Last 11 years worked as a Supply Teacher. Over the last 30 years have worked one to one outside school settings. Have worked on the One to One programme in several schools 2010-11.
Last five-year s I have concentrated on teaching elocution and accent reduction to native o and foreign, adults and children, from Africa, Europe and Asia.I have helped a wide range of pupils improve their speech including doctors ,a t.v star , member of mensa,housewives, managers and students of all ages and abilities.
How much do you charge?
Elocution, £20 for 45 minutes for adults; children £15 for 45 minutes.

Basic £25 per hour for teaching in my home.

Reduced rates for teaching two per session.
Where do you teach?
I live in Huddersfield HD1. West Yorkshire. I have all the resources in my own home and prefer to teach there.
When are you available?
Evenings 4 till 8. Weekends teaching hours are 10 till 12.Other times by arrangement.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
From pre-school to adults for speech and Elocution.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes. The Local Education Authority and several agencies have given me one.

National Union of Teachers. Associate of the London College of Music for Speech.Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama full member.

Bradford College of Education (qualification from Leeds University) Madame Habron College (qualification from London College of Music and Speech)
Tell me about some of your current students.
Adults who want to boost their confidence by improving their accent and making their speech clearer are part of my core business as are children who wish the same.
I am currently teaching adults who want to improve their speech and accent in their present job and/or aim to get a better job. They are native and foreign students.
Children from 4 years onwards are tutored in English and Speech.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I hope to improve not only the knowledge of students, but also help to improve their ability to compete with others and become more self aware and boost their confidence.
