I get on extremely well with students of all ages and abilities. I teach students at Uxbridge college. This helps me get a good insight into what is required to achieve success. I have a firm but friendly style of teaching using proven methods.

Tell me about your qualifications.
Cambridge CELTA incorporating PTLLS teacher training. This is equivalent in level to a Foundation Degree, Diplomas of Higher Education (Dip HE), and Higher National Diplomas (HND)
Preparing to Teach in the life long learning sector.
I also have extensive professional and vocational experience in coaching, mentoring and Support and Advocacy. I worked as a Young Person Mentor in 2004. I was matched to a 14 year old boy from the Irish Travelling Community. I helped him with his reading and writing and basic life skills.
I am also very experienced in marking and checking coursework as well as helping students to work out how to structure essays, including controlled assessments that run over several sessions. I am happy to check essays for accuracy and proofreading in most Humanities subjects, up to GCSE.
What kind of experience do you have?
Over 14 years teaching experience.
Currently I work at Uxbridge college, previously I worked for 4 years in Spain as an English teacher in a school near Barcelona. I have also worked as a Young Person Learning Mentor in 2004 for BIAS in Brent. Over 5 years experience as a Life coach.
10 years experience teaching English as a Private tutor in the U K to both adults and children.
12 years experience working in the Public Sector working directly with clients, solicitors and various government departments.
I have taught students with many different types of disability including deaf students, dyslexic, autistic, ADHD and gifted students. I currently work at Ealing Community English School.
How much do you charge?
I charge £25.00 an hour for most lessons. I will offer a discount on longer lessons each week and for classes for additional family members. A one and half hour class is £30.00
Life coaching sessions start at £33 per hour. Free assessment.
Some reductions for group lessons.
Where do you teach?
I teach in Perivale, Greenford, Ealing, Acton, Hounslow, Harrow, Wembley, Kingston, Northolt.Chiswick, South Harrow, Hounslow Southall.
I am happy to travel to students homes and I also work from my home in Perivale close to Alperton station.
When are you available?
7 days a week including evenings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages from 5 years to adults. I teach basic to advanced level. I also teach English Key stage 1,2 and 3 GCSE, 11+ and Business English.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
My most recent DBS was carried out in July 2012. Any parent who would like an upto date DBS is very welcome to apply for one in my name at their own expense.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I am willing to give lessons using Skype I have a fast broadband connection.
