I am a enthusiastic and experienced Music and Mandarin Chinese teacher. I currently work as a freelance flautist and teacher around Birmingham.

I have many years of experience teaching privately and also in schools. I have taught students of all ages from 8 years old to adult, and all levels from beginner to pre music college level. I also worked as a supply teacher at primary School in Taiwan for a year, where I gained valuable experience in teaching Chinese (Mandarin), Music and other subjects.

Where do you teach?
I mainly teach at home in Birmingham City Centre, however, I am also willing to discuss travelling to you if you are nearby (There is an extra fee for travel if I teach elsewhere).
When are you available?
My schedule is fairly flexible as I am a freelance flautist and teacher. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail to arrange a suitable time for lessons.

I teach all standards in Flute and Mandarin.
Because of the demand as a flute Teacher, for piano and music theory lessons, I only take students up to Grade 5.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am happy to teach students in preparation for ABRSM/Trinity music exams, auditions, GCSE, A-Level or just for fun.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I do not have a DBS currently.

I studied with Judith Hall and Frank Nolan at Birmingham Conservatoire.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I have some age 9-14 flute students are preparing for ABRSM grade 4-7, few students are learning/playing piano for their enjoyment, and a student is working for GCSE Mandarin exam.
