Personal Message
I am an expressive and passionate performer and an enthusiastic and invested teacher. I aim to teach in an adaptable and accessible way, inspiring students to love learning in the way that is right for them!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Flute and Music Theory (up to Grade 5), as well as Music KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I also teach Music at undergraduate university level.

I teach Maths (from KS1 to GCSE), English and Science (from KS1 to KS3), and offer proof-reading services.

In addition to my 1:1 private tuition experience, I have extensive experience working 1:1 with students with visual impairment and various learning difficulties, and have worked in school classroom environments.

The most important thing for me as a teacher is that my students are enjoying themselves whilst learning and working hard to overcome challenges they may face!
Tell me about your qualifications.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Music at City University London (BMus Hons, 1st Class), and studied with Wissam Boustany for 5 years. I have recently studied for my Masters degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying with Katherine Bryan (principal flute, RSNO), Ruth Morley (Red Note Ensemble) and Janet Richardson (principal piccolo, RSNO).

Prior to this, I completed my A-Levels in Music, Maths and Modern Hebrew.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for the past 6 years, and have worked with students of all ages and abilities. Specifically with flute, I have taught students who want to play 'just for fun', and with students following the ABRSM exams syllabus, with many students completing their examinations with merits and distinctions, including Grade 8 distinction. No matter what the student's goals are, the most important aspect of teaching for me is that the student is enjoying playing, whilst developing a passion for, and learning to engage with the music.
How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour up to GCSE level or Grade 6 flute. I charge £40 per hour up for A-Level or University level or Grade 8/Diploma flute.
I may charge up an additional £5 for travel costs if travelling far.
Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes - happy to travel, but travel cost may be added to lesson fee if this is significant distance.
When are you available?
I am available weekday mornings or after school times and weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all levels!
For flute, I recommend ages 5/6 and up.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
