I have a BA and MPhil in Modern Languages from University of Cambridge, and a PhD from University of Warwick. I have taught French grammar, speaking, reading and literature to students aged 13-18, and Film Studies to undergraduates.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach French and FIlm/Media Studies to students at any age and level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a First class BA in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish), and an MPhil in European Literature and Culture, both from the University of Cambridge. I spent my Year Abroad teaching English in two secondary schools in Suresnes, a suburb of Paris. From 2014-2017 I did a PhD in the Film and Television Studies at the University of Warwick. My thesis focused on French musicals.
What kind of experience do you have?
From 2012-2013 I tutored students aged 13-18 in French, improving their grammar and pronunciation, teaching literary analysis, and helping them prepare for GCSEs and A Levels. During the course of my PhD I taught two modules to second-year undergraduates. I have also lectured at London Film School.
How much do you charge?
£40/hour.
Where do you teach?
I am based in Tulse Hill, South East London. I am willing to travel anywhere in South London. I teach at my students' homes.
When are you available?
I am available to teach after school on weekdays, and on weekend mornings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach all ages and levels- I have experience of teaching people as young as 6, and as old as 21.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I do not have an up-to-date CRB disclosure certificate.
