Tutoring Approach:

In the initial lesson, Tahmina assesses her student’s current level and aims to build upon their current knowledge and understanding. She works with pupils on an individual basis and personalises lessons to cater for their learning needs. Tahmina uses engaging and innovative methods to teach difficult concepts in mathematics. Using ICT is essential, PowerPoint’s, e-learning such as mymaths and mathswatch are all used to engage learners and consolidate their learning. She often addresses difficult areas of the mathematics curriculum by making links to real life contexts and personal interests. For example teaching negative numbers links are made to shopping and overdrafts to engage pupils to something they would want to buy themselves. This has been proven to be an effective method within classrooms in outstanding schools and is therefore replicated within a one-to-one scenario.

Tahmina is an inspiring and enthusiastic tutor, who is committed to teaching and helping your child achieve their full potential.
