Throughout my career I have found that the formula for success is preparation + perseverance + a bit of luck. I'm here to help with the preparation. A combination of my experience and your hard work will give you the confidence you need to shine.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I coach both professional actors for stage and screen auditions as well as prospective drama school students. I also have a specialism in camera technique and auditioning for camera. I have a full self-tape studio should you need that. And also the facilities to record and watch yourself back (scary - but really useful for on-camera technique!)
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am an experienced professional actress working across stage and screen. I have played leading roles in TV series for the BBC (inc. Ripper Street), E4 (Misfits), ITV (Endeavour, Houdini and Doyle) and many more, as well as extensive stage work (The Royal Court, Royal Exchange and more). I'll be very happy to send a CV to anyone who wants to know more. I trained at RWCMD, achieving a first class honours degree in professional acting and at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain prior to that.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been coaching actors for 3 years, and have also taught at drama schools, most recently the BA Acting Course at Italia Conti Theatre School teaching audition technique. I have worked consistently across the industry with a wide plethora of directors and have sat on many audition panels; I have seen a wide range of auditions (the brilliant to the not so good) and know what audition panels want to see - or perhaps more importantly - want they don't want to see.
How much do you charge?
For drama school auditionees I charge £30 an hour after a discounted price of £20 for your first session.
For professional actors I charge £40 an hour after a discounted price of £20 for your first session. I charge a discounted rate of £30 an hour to students and recent graduates.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home in Hither Green, principally. It is one stop from London Bridge station (approx 10 mins on the train then a 7 min walk). But I will be willing to travel to you at a negotiated rate.
When are you available?
My schedule changes depending on my work schedule at that time.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have experience of teaching 16 year olds right through to established adult actors.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
