- What kind of experience do you have?
I have 3 years worth of teaching experience in all sciences up to GCSE and 3 years of A'level Physics teaching.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I posesses a full CRB check that I can provide prior to commencing tutoring.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I gained QTS status through Loughborough University and my Biochemistry degree from the University of Sheffield.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Institute of Physics and the Association for Science Education.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
Previous A' level students have ranged in ability from D/C grade up to A* grade candidates. I have tutored a whole family's children through their A'levels and G.C.S.E's in Physics and through word of mouth have taken on some of their classmates and more distant family members.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach all sciences up to Key Stage 3. From GCSE onward I primarily teach Physics.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am all round scientist as I have obtained a degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Sheffield and more recently have passed a Physics Enhancement Course designed for Physics teachers at the University of Loughborough.
I have 4 A' levels in General Studies, Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
I am a qualified teacher with work experience in a dynamic Physics department the independent sector. I am currently on maternity leave before returning to work in September.
Prior to working as a teacher I have worked in surgical supplies marketing for 3 years.
- How much do you charge?
A small fee is added for distances over 10miles. Will apply a discount to group lessons.
- Where do you teach?
I can teach from home or from the student's house. I am situated in Shepshed near Loughborough, so I am willing to travel to South Nottinghamshire, Loughborough and North Leicestershire.
- When are you available?
Alternate Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Weekend mornings. Please contact if this does not suit as I can be flexible.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Currently I teach all three subjects to GCSE and specialise in Physics for A level.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can provide advice for homework, receive set work tutoring sessions and provide advice on interactive sites for further practice.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Everything that we use, see, do or wear is related to Physics or Chemistry in some way. It is this reason alone why I am so passionate about these topics. I like to look at different ways of conveying scientific knowledge through using everyday items and ideas. I believe that learning should be fun, interactive and interesting.
