Personal Message
My aim as a teacher is to show pupils that music is a way to express yourself and most of all it must be fun. I have had fantastic results with all my pupils from young to old.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
All styles of guitar specialising in Jazz/electric and acoustic and classical.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BMus in Jazz Performance graduating from Trinity College of music and a teaching diploma and grade 8 classical guitar passed before 18.
What kind of experience do you have?
I teach a variety of abilities and ages from complete beginners and upwards. And have worked in various schools and colleges teaching all different levels and running workshops and helping music GCSE students and preparing young adults to go on working as a professional musician. I regularly prepare pupils for graded exams.
How much do you charge?
I charge 35 an hour and 20 half an hour and can travel within reason though have a music studio in SE14 where I work from.
Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach in my studio at home but can travel to New Cross, Lewisham, Blackheath, Greenwich, Peckham, Camberwell.
When are you available?
Daytime and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Please contact me to make arrangements.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and levels of abilities from very beginners right through to advanced players.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Have prepared students from grade one right up to Music college entrance.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes I have a DBS.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Teaching via Skype This has proved to be useful, versatile and successful when having lessons together in the same place is not feasible, whether this be across London, or between different countries

A graduate from Trinity College of Music, I am a guitarist with a varied portfolio of teaching experience. I have taught students at all stages in their school career from 4-18, as well as mature pupils. I have experience of group teaching and one to one.
