Personal Message
I have a wealth of teaching experience across a wide range of age groups. Having held a Deputy Head post with responsibility for literacy and handwriting, I am well placed to provide progressive engaging tutoring for all abilities.
Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach all primary and secondary school aged children. Suitable for children with a specific learning disability. Great also for children who have 'slipped through the net'. Perfect for left-hand writers.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA and PGCert ED in Primary School Teaching.
What kind of experience do you have?
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher and I have taught across all the year groups.
I have a clear understanding of the challenges handwriting can cause within the education system and can offer support.
How much do you charge?
The initial consultation is £145 which includes taking a handwriting assessment/ sample, the first lesson and the Magic Link Workbooks that I will use throughout the tutoring sessions.
Each lesson is 45 minutes within a small group. Each subsequent lesson is £40 per session.

Usually, a child will require between 10-12 lessons to achieve neat joined up writing.

Within the session there is time to discuss any issues or concerns and appropriate homework tasks.
Where do you teach?
I work from a classroom in my house which is located just outside of Tunbridge Wells - postcode TN3.
When are you available?
I am available after school and on Saturday mornings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Primary and Secondary School (from the age of 5).
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am a full trained and experienced Magic Link Teacher. Throughout the tutoring I will use the Magic Link Handwriting Workbooks. It is a 30 step programme taught over 10-12 sessions.

Good handwriting is essential for every day school work plus external exams including 11+, Common Entrance, GCSE and A-Level.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
GTC Primary School Teacher Registered and I am a member of the National Handwriting Association.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I teach a wide range of students from 5 to 18 who have poor, messy and illegible writing.
Through this step by step programme, confidence and skills will improve which will in turn help school grades.
Do you have a personal message for students?
All children are capable of achieving neat, legible cursive writing.
