I have benefitted from an enriched and varied musical education, and would very much like to impart to others the joy and love I have for music!

I teach Saxophone and Piano.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BMus (Hons) degree from Trinity College of Music, London. ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction Saxophone ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction Piano ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction Singing ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory A levels: Music (A) Art (B) Theology (B) AS level: English Lit (A)
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught a variety of students, from young children to adults, in groups and individually. I have also lead music workshops in schools, helped organise an adult community choir, and accompanied for school productions and assemblies. Besides teaching, I enjoy playing in a saxophone quartet, professional big bands and function bands. I have played in several European countries including Belgium, Portugal, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.
How much do you charge?
One hour is £30 Half an hour is £17 Expenses would be added if travelling.
Where do you teach?
I teach in Bristol, Bath and a school in Bath.
When are you available?
I can be flexible with teaching hours.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I enjoy teaching all ages (from 5 years old to 60+ !) and abilities, and believe it's never too late to discover the magic of music!
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
My pupils take ABRSM exams (if they want to!)
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Where and with whom did you train?
I went to Trinity College of Music, in London, where I studied saxophone with Gerard McChrystal. I have also received lessons and performed in masterclasses with: Martin Robertson, Andrew Tweed, Richard Addison, John Harle, Kyle Horch, Antonio Canovas, James Houlik, Martin Speake, Mark Lockheart and Mick Foster. I studied piano with Mikhael Kazakevich and John Law.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Whilst I would want every person that I teach to reach their fullest potential, I would also like them to leave each lesson feeling inspired and in good spirits. To me, that's what music's all about!
