Personal Message
I link classical music with jazz/pop music. I'm offering practical advice and techniques that will help you improve your skills. With patience, hard work and some guidance from me, you can definitely achieve your goals.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach piano, jazz piano, ear training, jazz harmony, vocal impovisation.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a master degree in Jazz Composition and Arrangement. I was studying in Music Academy in Poznan as a student of famous polish composer Krzesimir Dębski. I have also a bachelor degree in Music Education. My teaching is influenced by a unique piano technique based on works of f. ex.: Frederic Chopin and Artur Rubinstein, remastered and reworked by great polish professor Maria Niemira with whom I had pleasure to work with. This approach includes also special off-keyboard exercises, that ensure the correct position of the hand.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have 5 years of experience in teaching children and adults. I also used to work in a primary school as a piano teacher. Simultaneously I was teaching jazz piano, jazz harmony and vocal improvisation in my private music studio. For many years I have been a pianist and a band leader in a few jazz bands (Gotfryd & Kołacki Project, Follow Dices). I have also sung in summer opera festivals in Bad Hersfeld (Germany). I have a knowledge of vocal music, allowing me to implement new solutions in my piano teaching work.
How much do you charge?
£35 for 60 minutes.
£30 for 45 minutes.
£25 for 30 minutes.
Where do you teach?
