I am a professional Double Bass and Bass Guitar player and teacher, a versatile freelance musician, regularly performing with an wide range of ensembles, from Orchestras to pop bands. I also teach beginner Piano and 'cello.

What kind of experience do you have?
I currently teach at Sevenoaks School, Dulwich Prep London and Russell House Prep. I currently have pupils who have gained places in The National Children's Orchestra and Glyndebourne Youth Opera.

Since graduating from The Royal Academy of Music I have performed with many different ensembles, from Orchestral engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The Sixteen, The English Concert and National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, to folk gigs with various bands and regular work with the highly acclaimed funky contemporary and versatile string ensemble, Urban Soul Orchestra.
How much do you charge?
I charge between £35 and £40 per hour depending on distance travelled. I'm happy to teach 45 minute lessons for £30, particularly for younger pupils. Group reductions POA.
Where do you teach?
Individually tailored lessons, be it exam preparation or simply for fun. currently seeking pupils in South East London. I am able to teach from home in South East London and also able to drive to your home, with or without double bass/ bass guitar and amplifiers. When are you available?
Due to the nature of my performing work, I can be very flexible with my teaching hours during the week.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
As a teacher I interact well and have experience with pupils of all ages (4+) and all abilities.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I teach ABRSM grades 1 to 8, and currently have a 100% pass rate at either merit or distinction.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to the Musicians' Union.

I trained at Trinity College of Music (undergraduate) and the Royal Academy of Music in London (postgraduate)

I currently have pupils who have gained places in The National Children's Orchestra, Glyndebourne Youth Opera and various regional youth ensembles . I have adult pupils who are actively performing and recording with their own bands and orchestras.
