I am an actress and Artistic Director of HookHitch Theatre: 'Edinburgh Festival Fringe favourites' - The Stage.
I love working closely with aspiring artists in order to help them stand out at the start of their careers.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach drama/acting specifically for the drama school application process - guidance with course research, monologue and song choices, preparation of speeches and interview technique.
I believe strongly in building confidence in public speaking and presenting – skills which I also specialise in. I can prepare students for LAMDA qualifications.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Acting course, where I was the student representative. I co-ordinated the acting audition days for prospective students and sat on the audition panel working closely with the admissions team across all undergraduate courses.
Before that I completed the Foundation (Cert HE) at East 15 Acting School again where I helped during the audition process.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40 an hour - although the first session is half price as it is a trial lesson. I charge a travel fee (which we would agree beforehand). I will happily take group sessions (please enquire).
- Where do you teach?
I usually teach students in my home (Clapham North) but am very happy to travel both locally and further afield (often to Surrey). If required I also teach online via Skype.
- When are you available?
I am unavailable on Saturdays during term time as I run drama classes. Apart from this my availability revolves around my acting work. I prefer weekdays but am happy to work both evenings and weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for Drama School Auditions
