About Ljiljana
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for over 20 years. My first teaching experience was in a specialist music school in Belgrade, where i developed a strong fundamentals in string teaching pedagogy. My students regularly performed at national and international festivals and competitions. That was followed with the Head of Strings employment in a large college in Melbourne where my work focused on establishing a high standard beginners string program for children age 6 to 11. Since 2008, I worked with Hertfordshire Music Service, Enfield Music service and Berkshire Maestros. i have been directing and conducting string orchestras form beginners to advanced level and I coached string quartets on a regular basis. I regularly prepare students for graded ABRSM exam up to grade 8. My students have a 100 percent passing rate with more that 20 percent gaining a distinction.

I have a current enhanced DBS check.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach violin, viola, chamber music, string orchestras,music theory and musicianship
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a B Mus with Honors in violin performance, PGCE classroom music and art history and MA in cultural policy and management.
- How much do you charge?
Each potential student receives a 20 minutes free consultation. After that, the fee will be negotiable depending on the level of playing and travel time involved. Please get in touch to inquire.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at the comfort of students home. I teach in Stains, Slough,Windsor, Old Windsor, Datchet, Maidenhead, Egham and surrounding towns. Please inquire about the lessons in your area.
- When are you available?
I am available most afternoons and evenings. I have flexible working hours- please inquire.
Lesson slots during the day are available for adult students.
I teach 38 weeks per year - in line with the school term. I also offer summer and winter holiday booster lessons.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach pupils from 5 years old upwards and i am able to teach all standards, from complete beginners to experienced musicians at conservatoire level (diploma and post-Grade 8 standard).
I also very much enjoy teaching adults, regardless if they are staring from scratch or would like to brush up on old skills they developed in primary and secondary school.
