Personal Message
I am a trained multi-instrumentalist who is experienced in a number of different genres. Feel free to contact me.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
-Vocals
-Clarinet
-Saxophone (Alto/Tenor/Soprano)
-Piano
-Music Theory (Grade 1-5)
Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied Music A Level & BTEC Music Performance at Exeter College receiving Triple Distinction and then went onto Leeds College of Music where I graduated with a BA Honors in Jazz Studies (specialising in Vocals).
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught privately and at different schools for approximately 4years. I currently work at 4 different schools in Devon:
-Academy of Music and Sound: Vocal Coach
-Steiner Academy: Vocals and Piano
-Teign School: Vocals
-Stoke Hill Primary: Vocals
How much do you charge?
I charge £16 for half an hour or £27 for a full hour.
Where do you teach?
I am able to teach from my own home or at students' houses. Please note that if I have to travel further to your home, I will have to adjust my fees accordingly (I am willing to travel anywhere around the Exeter area). Especially with vocals I prefer to have the use of a piano in my lessons which I have available at my home, so do take this in to consideration.
When are you available?
I am reasonably flexible with my availability, just let me know the best time and day for you and we will try to arrange something.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach anyone from age 6upwards at beginner to intermediate level.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes.
Where and with whom did you train?
I trained with Richard Clarke, Nick White, Roz Harding and Rob Mitchell on Clarinet and Saxophone, and with Kari Bleivik on Vocals.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Whether you want to learn an instrument or sing professionally or for fun I can offer music/singing lessons that will give you confidence in your singing voice!
I am a trained singer and musician now working professionally performing regularly with different projects all over the UK. I offer fun, informative lessons which focus on technique, as well as developing the musicality and performance skills of a student.

Music is meant to be enjoyable so I always make sure with my students that you are learning songs that you love! You will have a great deal of input on what you want to learn during lessons. You will learn how to perform with much more confidence in any style.
