Teaching Qualifications (QTS)
What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked as a performer and teacher for twenty years. Thus I have attained a wide range of teaching experience, from very young children to adults, and from beginners to diploma level. In addition to giving one-to-one piano and violin lessons to children (as young as four) and adults, I teach groups in music schools.

I am experienced with different teaching methods, such as Suzuki, Yamaha, Alexander, Kodaly. I had the privilege of participating in classes by the legendary Roberta Guaspari (Opus 118 Harlem School of Music, New York), and I followed masterclasses with international renowned teachers such as Zakhar Bron and Barry Harris.
How much do you charge?
£15 - 30 minutes
£20 - 45 minutes
£25 - 60 minutes

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and abilities (from beginners to advanced players).
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Trinity/Guildhall Exams and ABRSM Exams (100% success rate grades 1-8);
and any other qualifications the student wishes to prepare for.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Tell me about some of your current students.
My current students range from complete beginners to advanced players.

I teach a number of young and adult beginners. Among them is, for example, a five-year-old boy with great potential (he's been playing the violin for two years), his mother often joins him in her own violin lessons. I also teach a few advanced players. Some of them are working towards ABRSM exams, whilst others are learning for their own enjoyment without the formality of exams.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I strongly believe that music gives us a richer experience of the world and sharpens and rewards our senses and intellect. A benefit everyone deserves! So whatever your age and experience, let's enjoy exploring music together.

My lessons are engaging and cover not only all technical aspects of playing the piano or violin, but also a wide range of musical activities, including duets, composition, aural training, and fun games (for children).

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
