Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I tutor via an online video conferencing tool called Zoom. All you have to do is download and sign up to Zoom Meetings. The rest is on me. I use an online whiteboard called BitPaper. This tool is frankly the best online whiteboard I have used. Online lessons are far more superior than face to face as you can save the lesson after we finish. The saved lessons can then form your revision notes which come exam time are an invaluable resource.
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied maths at the University of Hertfordshire. I met some of the best motivational lecturers that inspired me to ask more questions. From my experience at university I now understand why asking questions is paramount to learning. I can help coach you to ask the right questions and help motivate you.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I help a wide range of students. I have students that struggle with basic maths so I have to go at a slower pace to make sure they fully understand before moving on. I also have students that want extra challenge and help with more advanced maths.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Maths is all about solving problems. If you are a logical thinker then you can sense check your answers to make sure they make sense. To those of you who struggle with maths I can break down topics so that you can better understand them. Most importantly have fun in your studies!
