Personal Message
I am an experienced Maths tutor, specialising in sixth form work. I inspire confidence in students whilst appreciating the challenges that the subject brings. I am flexible in tailoring the learning to the student. It's all about exam technique!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Maths including Mechanics
Tell me about your qualifications.
2:1 in Maths from London University. 30 years as a business leader coaching individuals and teams to out-perform
What kind of experience do you have?
I have successfully tutored over 100 students in the West Kent area, as well as family and friends over many years. Mostly A Level Maths and Further Maths. I specialise in IB Higher as well as Standard level where I have worked with twenty students in the past couple of years
How much do you charge?
£40 an hour or £55 for 90 minutes which most sixth form students need and prefer. No travel charge within a 5 mile radius.
Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach at the student's home as they are more relaxed and the biscuits are better! But I can work at home in Hildenborough. I do not charge for tutoring in the Sevenoaks / Wrotham / Tonbridge triangle. Outside that area there will be a travel charge or the student can come to me. I am also available to tutor Online.
When are you available?
I have limited after school availability so prefer students who can take free periods at home. Please enquire if interested in late cancellations.

I prefer to work at the student`s home but they are welcome at my home in Hildenborough. Sessions are billed by the hour but 90 minutes is more usual for A Level / IB students. Travel is free in the Sevenoaks / Tonbridge / Wrotham triangle. Further afield may incur a travel charge.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Mainly sixth form. I do some entratnce exams and Add Maths with bright younger students
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Tell me about some of your current students.
~ Ongoing support to supplement school learning by moving ahead of the syllabus
~ Capable students wanting to maximise the chances of hitting an A grade
~ Intensive revision in the pre-exam break
~ Last-minute ‘emergency grade-raising’ after a disappointing mock exam
~ Gap year students studying independently to raise grades or revise before heading for University
Do you have a personal message for students?
I have a deep knowledge of the subject, the curriculum and expected standards, which allows me to be articulate in explaining what is required. I enjoy open communication with students and parents alike; I am always available to answer your queries, about maths and progress, outside the tutoring sessions
