Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am a qualified teacher who specialises in teaching mathematics but can also teach physics and engineering.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching in Further Education colleges for seven years after a background in industry. I established my maths tuition service in 2003 and provide professional home based tuition for students 10 years of age and upwards.
How much do you charge?
I change between £22 and £25 per hour depending on distance.
Where do you teach?
I can teach all over Nottingham if required. This includes Beeston, Chilwell, Wollaton, Long Eaton, West Bridgford, Bestwood and Forest Fields.
When are you available?
All year round, seven days a week.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from Key Stage 2 up to A2 level and am comfortable teaching small family groups or providing one to one support. I tutor students who are in difficulty as well as the more able who wish to progress faster than their school environment allows.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Generally GCSE but anything from KS2 to A2.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a current DBS.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I do not normally do on-line training but I could if required by special arrangement.

My current students are mainly working towards GCSE with the new syllabus. (1-9)

I will try and help you reach your maximum potential. I have a friendly non critical approach, which has enabled me to build up a successful track record, with a wide variety of learners.
