I am delighted to support Dr Oxley. I have known him for over thirty years: he was a postgraduate scholar at the Royal Academy of Music in London when I was Principal. He showed deep dedication to his music. He has grown into a very talented and highly regarded performer and a hugely inspirational teacher. In his turn he has taught and inspired several of our top young singers and musicians. I commend Stephen to you without reservation of any kind. You will not regret having him as your teacher.
This young man is a huge talent'!
Dr Oxley is a superb musician and teacher and superlatives do not come even close to describing him or the empathetic and patient way in which he has taught my daughter theory and singing.I have observed him over some years in both school and out of school and he never fails to amaze me and what he can achieve with students. He has a highly assured and yet encouraging teaching manner and he never fails to ensure that learning music is accessible and great fun.
Dr O as he is known is by far the best teacher that I have ever had in school and in singing. He is hugely experienced and has always pushed me to attain my best in all ares of Music, GCSE, ABRSM Grades and in life. He was a brilliant teacher in school and we all miss him hugely as our Director of Music after his retirement. He was dearly loved by all his pupils. So much so that we all sing with him in a newly formed choir out of school time.
Dr Oxley is a very able and talented organist and pianist. He is able in both sacred and secular areas of music and his arrangements are a joy to listen to. He has a wonderful counter tenor voice and is thus able to show exactly what to do and the sound that he wants. This is a huge advantage and progress with him is therefore very fast indeed. Hi knowledge of Music is very extensive and deep. He is a clam, patient and kind and his lessons are excellently structured.
Dr Oxley has been an amazing teacher for my daughter and she has totally blossomed under his expert teaching. He is patient and kind and his lessons are fun. She has made rapid progress with him and he has instilled confidence in her that she never had. He has been invaluable to her as a teacher in school and she performs solos now and has done in the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Lessons are professional, highly structured yet relaxed.
Dr Oxley is an accomplished organist t and pianist and an excellent teacher. He focuses exactly at the level where the pupil is and he has been truly inspirational for my daughters as their piano teacher. He strikes just the right balance between pushing progress and nurturing a love for the piano. His lessons are flexible and fun. The girls have progressed incredibly fast with his expert tuition and knowledge.I would highly endorse him as a piano teacher for anyone.
Dr Oxley was my Director of Music in school until he retired and he was the best teacher in the school. Not only was he a brilliant teacher and musician, but he was also someone we all loved and respected. He works so hard and has been inspirational in me now being able to sing solos in concerts. There is no way on earth that I could have done this without him. He prepares you totally and fully for exams and is dedicated to music.
Stephen is a wonderful tutor. He has a great personality and is hugely enthusiastic about music in general. He is kind, gentle but firm with students and my daughters have made quite stunning progress under his expert tutoring. My children adore him and they totally enjoy his lessons. Stephen gets a total 'thumbs up' in all areas as a music tutor and as a man. I recommend him fully to anyone.
I have a nagging inner voice that always says to me ''What if I work really hard but never achieve my goals?' Stephen Oxley has totally rekindled my love of music and my self belief. Do exactly what he says and you will reap, as I have ,phenomenal rewards and very quickly. He is a wonderful tutor and I recommend him totally.
