What kind of experience do you have?
I am a Mathematics teacher with 19 years experience. In addition to teaching in the UK and Spain I have taught at a number of top international schools in the Middle East where I have been the head of two departments and a head of year with pastoral care of over 160 students. During this time I have successfully tutored students of all abilities and enabled them to achieve their potential.

I have qualified as a Google Educator which has enhanced my understanding and use of online education tools. This alongside my teaching experience has enabled me to develop my approach and deliver a high quality service.

I offer a weekly lesson, syllabus specific resources and a troubleshooting service where students can ask me questions concerning the lesson any time during the week.

Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
When tutoring online, I use video, audio and screen sharing using a package called Zoom. This enables me to use any software package I want, without the students having to install it. My lessons are thoroughly prepared using PowerPoint to explain and simplify mathematical concepts, although when it is necessary I use graphing and geometry packages. During the lessons students and I can both annotate presentations and documents to highlight and clarify when needed.
Do you have a personal message for students?
When students sign up with me I commit myself to doing what ever I can to assist them in achieving their potential. In addition to well prepared and structured lessons, I am always available to answer questions outside lesson time, normally using WhatsApp or Zoom. When students try online face to face tuition, it normally surpasses their expectations. I am that confident about my service, if you are not happy after the first lesson, I will give you a full refund.
Online education is the future.
