Which subject(s) do you teach?
The humanities, the social sciences, and relevant creative industries; i.e., to (and inclusive of) master's degree standard.
Tell me about your qualifications.
My (comb. hons.) bachelor's degree—English with Creative Writing; master's degree—Professional Writing; and (ongoing) PhD—Linguistics with Psychology (have) afford(ed) experience in a range of cognate areas.
What kind of experience do you have?
Formerly, I've designed—and implemented—discourse-based (specifically: paralinguistic, and narratological) interventions for use in NHS psychiatric contexts. Presently, I develop programmes of study for commercial clients.
How much do you charge?
£30 per hour. A thirty-minute consultation is available without charge.
Where do you teach?
I teach from home; where this is not possible (e.g., due to distance), online tuition is also available.
When are you available?
I tutor full-time, alongside part-time postgraduate study; currently, I’m accepting new clients.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
KS1 to Level 6 (i.e., primary-degree).
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes: enhanced certificates, which include checks against both the adult, and children’s barred lists; and DBS update service membership.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Online sessions can take place via VOIP (e.g., Skype, or a similar application), and/or a virtual classroom environment.
