What kind of experience do you have?
I have many years of experience teaching piano and organ to a great mixture of ages and levels both at home and 1:1 in schools.

£32 per hour or pro rata. I also offer half hour lessons at £16 and 45 min lessons at £24.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home in Arundel, West Sussex where we have a modern Yamaha piano and also a collection of early keyboard instruments and a house pipe organ made in the Netherlands.

I teach at school three days a week but have some vacancies at home most evenings and currently during the daytime on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

I teach beginners to advanced students - children of all ages and adults.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am very happy to help students prepare for exams (usually ABRSM), or to enter Festivals or to play in concerts. For organ tuition I can also help students prepare for exams or to play in church services. I am experienced at teaching up to Grade 5 theory ABRSM.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?
European Piano Teachers Association (UK) which is a lively professional organisation offering stimulating events for its members and their students.
Where and with whom did you train?
Trinity College of Music, studying piano with John Simons and organ with Harry Gabb. I had lessons in piano accompaniment with Marion Raper and organ lessons with Alan Thurlow after leaving Trinity and have recently had singing lessons with Yvonne Patrick. EPTA (UK) includes refresher training in its annual conferences and also at regional level.
Tell me about some of your current students.
My students are a great mixture of ages who enjoy learning and are keen to make progress. Some but not all are interested in playing music on some of our early keyboard instruments and our harpsichord. Some are now in their late teens and have learnt piano with me since they were little. I have several adults who are committed to their learning.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I would love to hear from anyone who is keen to learn and to grow in their interest in music.
