Personal Message
I have a Bmus Hons First Class Undergraduate Degree from Guildhall School of music and Drama. I'm a passionate, patient, and caring piano/flute teacher with over 4 years experience. I'm looking to teach all age groups and at all levels.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I can teach piano from beginner level up to Grade 8,
Flute from beginner standard up to post grade 8,
Classical/jazz vocal,
Grade 5 theory.
My main subject is teaching piano and it's the one I teach the most.
Tell me about your qualifications.
First Class Honours Bmus Undergraduate Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama 2018
Grade 8 Abrsm Piano 2010.
Grade 8 Abrsm Flute 2008.
Grade 8 Classical Voice Abrsm 2012.
Diploma ABRSM flute and piano 2012.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching now for nearly 4 years. I have experience with a variety of age groups and standards. My youngest student has been 3 and a complete beginner and my eldest has been 62; someone who just wanted lessons for fun. I have experience with putting students through exams, whether that be the traditional ABRSM or Trinity examination board. I can teach a pupil any grade they like.
I also have a lot of experience in teaching young children starting up on music. I usually start with musical games and then go into explaining the notes etc on the piano.
I work in schools around London and in Somerset giving master classes and teaching groups.
Having studied at a music conservatoire I know a lot about the instruments I play and love passing on knowledge to others.
How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour. If your home is outside zone 4 I will have to charge extra.
Where do you teach?
I can teach either at home or in the student's home. I live in central London. I am willing to travel to anywhere in London Zones 1-4.
When are you available?
I am available on any week day after school times (after 3:30). I can be flexible with this if someone wanted a lesson before, but that is the easiest times for me. I prefer not to start teaching anyone past 8pm.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I will teach anyone from the age of 3 upwards that is anything from a beginner to post Grade 8.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM or Trinity Exams (Grades 1-8)
Grade 5 theory exam
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes I have an up to date DBS check.
