Personal Message
I have 26 years experience of teaching piano, woodwind and brass instruments. I tutor musicians of all ages, with great success in auditions for Specialist Music Schools, NCO and IAPS courses. I always accompany pupils in their exams.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone (inc Jazz) to all levels. Trumpet, Trombone and Tuba to Grade 6.
I also teach Music Theory to all levels and run Half-Term courses when enough people are interested.
I also run Half-term Ukulele Workshops.
I am able to support with Aural Tests to all levels and accompany all of my pupils in their exams.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA(Hons) in Music and a PGCE in Music and Maths.
What kind of experience do you have?
26 years of teaching and running bands and different courses both practical and theoretical to all ages.
My 3 children all attended Specialist Music schools, which gave me access to Workshops and Masterclasses led by world-class musicians.
How much do you charge?
I charge £35/hour and £20/half hour.
Group lessons (theory) and Half Term activities (ukulele) are charged according to size of group and are run for 2 hours each day.
Where do you teach?
I teach from home which makes me easily accessible to pupils from Ickenham, Ruislip, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Harrow, Gerrards Cross, Harefield, Eastcote, Pinner and the Chalfonts.
When are you available?
By arrangement, but I have recently opened up Wednesdays so I currently have vacancies.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have experience of teaching from 4 to 80 year olds!
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM graded exams
Trinity Guildhall graded exams - including Jazz exams.

Entry to Specialist Music Schools (The Purcell School, Wells Cathedral School and Chethams) also other schools that offer special provision at secondary level for children.
Music Colleges and universities.
Entry to National Children's Orchestra and other Music courses with competitive entry.
