I am an experienced piano teacher based in central Manchester. I studied Music at Cambridge University and now teach piano and french horn, from beginners to advanced, ages 6+.

What kind of experience do you have?
I teach piano and french horn on part time basis to all ages - from beginners to advanced. Since university I have built up the number of students that I teach to around 18 currently.

I regularly freelance and play regularly with the Lancashire Artillery Band (Army Reserve band).
How much do you charge?
£30 per hour. £18 per 1/2 hour.
Where do you teach?
I teach students at my home in Manchester.
When are you available?
Wed - Fri (11am - 7pm).
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Ages 6+ from beginner to advanced.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for ABRSM music exams from grade 1 - 8.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Where and with whom did you train?
I studied Music at Cambridge University, where I studied with Roger Parker, a renowned operatic musicologist and writer. I studied french horn with Bob Ashworth (principal horn, Opera North) and performed for two years with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

I believe in positive encouragement in order to help my students achieve success. I teach music grounded in a good knowledge of theory.
