I am a qualified piano teacher currently accepting new pupils of all ages and all grades. Welcoming new students as several are leaving for University.

I teach the piano.

B. A. Hons. Hull University
What kind of experience do you have?
Over 30 years teaching piano in Schools and at home.
How much do you charge?
£34 per hour. Some concessions for very young children, reduced price for trial lesson. Time given generously as needed especially for exam preparation.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home as there are two pianos here, one being a recital grand ideal for college students. I also teach in one school now.
When are you available?
I am available every day, except Sundays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age, from beginners to University level, retired welcome also.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity College, GCSE and A level, University entrance and auditions.
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes enhanced version.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Alumni, exam organisations, attend EPTA but not officially member.
Where and with whom did you train?
I trained with G. Leary who trained with Rachmaninov and Debussy's pupils, and then University.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Leaving for University Guildhall, Leeds College of Music to pursue music professionally.
Others taking Grade 8 and other grades
Some to BBC young Musician, National youth Orchestra, some performing professionally in various fields.
Retired outstanding enjoyment, and very academic.
Very young for fun!
Long term students, not many leave before University.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I want my students to enjoy music and their studies. As Rachmaninov said, "music is enough for a lifetime".
