Which subject(s) do you teach?

Tell me about your qualifications.
2013-2015 Royal College of Music, Master in Music (Composition for Screen)
2007-2010 Goldsmiths University of London, Bachelor in Music
Grade 8 - Piano
What kind of experience do you have?
My practices as a composer and musician range widely from composition and sound design for the screen, sound art, theatre, filmmaking, concert music and band-life. Among my clients are the BBC, Guardian and Sotheby's. Recent film scores include Phillip Wood's critically acclaimed documentaries on the nature of addiction (Chasing Dad: A lifelong Addiction and Rehab: Lives Addicted). I am a founding member of the pop band La Shark who have toured the world and released records that have had extensive radio play. My concert music has been performed by the Budapest Art Orchestra, members of the LSO and the Royal Northern Sinfonia. I also run the non-profit label Quiet Tyrant and am a member of The Milo Wladek Co.

I've been teaching music since I was 16, both privately and in groups. Teaching has always been a part of my life. Currently, I have several students between the ages of 5 and 35, including two Grammy award winners! This year I wrote and delivered a course of experimental music workshops designed for young children. The children were incredibly receptive to the course and I received a lot of positive feedback so I hope to do it again soon. I also worked full-time as a teaching assistant at Kingsdale Foundation School in 2015 and also at Sydbourn Children’s Centre. At Kingsdale I developed good relations with teachers and students and was sad to leave after a year there. I’ve also worked as an Audio Director for films that have required V/O work with children with no previous related experience. I enjoyed the collaborative experience!
