What kind of experience do you have?
I studied for a bachelor's degree and PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Music as an organ scholar at Cambridge University.

After I graduated, I worked as a music teacher in state and private primary and secondary schools for fifteen years, while teaching piano and music theory privately to students of all ages and abilities.

I currently work as a freelance musician in a variety of roles. In addition to tutoring, I examine AS Level Music for AQA, AS Level Music Technology for Pearson, perform as a freelance organist and I'm a professional composer.
How much do you charge?
I charge £16 per half hour / £32 per hour.
Where do you teach?
I teach in students' homes in the Tunbridge Wells area.
When are you available?
I tutor on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings; I tutor in line with local school term dates, with breaks at Bank Holidays, Easter, summer and Christmas. Please contact me for my latest availability.

From primary school age to retired and beginner students to advanced.

ABRSM Classical Piano Grades 1 - 8
ABRSM Jazz Piano Grades 1 - 5
ABRSM Music Theory Grades 1 - 8
Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes, I have a current enhanced DBS certificate which parents and pupils are welcome to view.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I'm a member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA), PPL and PRS for Music.
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied piano with Tony Mott and organ with Bernard Barker. I later studied organ as an organ scholar at Cambridge University with David Sanger and Peter Hurford.
