- What kind of experience do you have?
Head of English at a leading Preparatory School
Over 7 years of tutoring on an a one to one basis from SATs and 11+ to A level in both English & History.
I also experience in preparing for scholarships, interview practice and editing personal statements for University.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
'Rupert was an English tutor to my son William for approximately eighteen months.
He quickly identified the areas, which William found difficult and worked methodically through each one to strengthen his understanding and to build his confidence. The sessions covered a whole range of topics from descriptive writing and spelling through to comprehension, poetry and handwriting.
Rupert worked steadily with William and with his patience, praise and professionalism, he instilled confidence in areas which William had found challenging. I believe the key to success in English is confidence. I have experience in quickly identifying learning styles and where the challenges lie. I then focus on developing confidence and ability in these specific areas.

I am experienced tutor in English & History from 11+ to A level. I also tutor Verbal Reasoning.

History BA Hons, University of York
PGCE in Secondary English, University of Buckingham
- How much do you charge?
I charge between £35 - £40 per hour, which includes reasonable travel expenses.
- Where do you teach?
I teach either at home or in students' houses. I am happy to travel up to 20 miles taking in Shaftesbury, Salisbury, Blandford, Gillingham, Warminster and the counties of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset.
- When are you available?
I am available evenings and weekends during term time, and daily during the holidays.

I have experience of teaching all ages from 7 to 18, from SATs and 11+ to A Level.
