Personal Message
My aim as a teacher is to provide a relaxed but focused environment to guide students in achieving their own goals, helping them to improve their technique, improvisational skills and develop their own style. Beginner to advanced levels are welcome.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach alto, soprano and tenor saxophone as well as give lessons in improvisation (which covers theory, harmony and rhythm)
Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London (where I was studying on a full scholarship) with a Bachelor of Music. This year I was appointed as an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?
In addition to teaching, I have much experience as a performer. At the age of 17 I won “The Best Saxophonist" award in a well known St. Petersburg jazz competition. Soon after graduating from London’s Royal Academy of Music, I began performing at many leading European, Russian and UK Festivals and started to tour internationally, performing extensively in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, Austria, Britain, Switzerland and Chile. In the UK I have played in leading jazz venues including regular appearances at London Jazz Festival and headlining at Ronnie Scott’s with my own projects, whilst working with some of today’s most forward thinking musicians including Eric Harland, Ambrose Akinmusire, Chris "Daddy" Dave, Joseph "Foley" McCreary (who played with Miles Davis) among others. I also have produced six albums all of which consist of my own original music.

I was fortunate to study with some great musicians at the Royal Academy of Music including… I have also learned a lot with over (20) years of experience performing with some great internationally high profile musicians.
